Vintage World War II Ammo Boxes and Suitcase
Item Details
A vintage World War II ammo box, two 7.62mm ammo boxes and an olive suitcase. The WWII olive drab ammo box is a 2’ bomb thrower smoke cartridge box, that held eighteen smoke bombs in three carriers. This box has square metal clasps, square handles on the ends with canvas covers and is stamped ‘1942’ on the lid. The 7.62mm NATO olive drab boxes are two sizes, one for 240 cartridges and one for 420, and both are marked ‘M80’. The suitcase has a plastic hard shell outside, and metal reinforced edges and corners, with two metal locking spring clasp closures, but no key. The inside is a brown, tan and butterscotch plaid with two straps for securing contents.
Condition
The large ammo box is rusted all over, and the other ammo boxes have some rust as well. The top on the larger 420 size box is painted blue. The suitcase has some rust on one of the clasps.
