Lot of Five Scott Kiefer Lithographs of Presidents' Homes

Item Details

A lot of five framed lithographs by American artist Scott Kiefer from the early 1980s. Each of these prints depict homes of different United States presidents. The homes included are Lindenwald (Martin Van Buren), Grouseland (William Henry Harrison), Monticello (Thomas Jefferson), The Home of Ulysses S. Grant, and Sagamore Hill (Theodore Roosevelt). Each of the images were printed in black ink and use sketchy lines to build up the pictures. The prints were issued by the International Archives and each bears an embossed stamp from this organization in the lower left corner. The prints are signed in-plate by the artist in the lower right corner of each. They are double-matted in forest green and a fibrously textured gray. They are presented behind non-glare glass in matching burled wood frames. Wires are attached to the verso of each for hanging.
