Pair of Gone with the Wind Lamps

Item Details

A pair of Gone With the Wind lamps with handpainted shades. The rotund glass shades have handpainted rose stem motifs to shaded sections. The lamps have brass-toned reticulated design along the upper rim and bottom rim, with brass-toned turn switch. Both lamps feature two bulbs that light both shaded sections; however, one base bulb would not light.

Condition

Some wear throughout, with some paint worn off the shades. Both lamps worked at time of cataloging; however, the base bulb of one lamp did not light. It is uncertain if the bulb is bad or if the wiring is ineffective. One screw that secures the upper glass shade is not effective; one shade is loose as a result.
