Hand Thrown and Signed "Atomic Tea Set"
Item Details
A one-of-a-kind, signed, hand thrown tea service titled Atomic Tea Set. The teapot, creamer and sugar were thrown as closed globes, with lids being cut from the top of each globe to create the lids, having abstract finials and raised, abstractly-shaped feet. The set includes a small, matching lemon bowl. Each is glazed with a glossy sour apple green with black accents to the finials and feet. Made by Cincinnati potter Grace Markley-Reiter; marked to the bases.
Condition
The lighter area of glaze to the sugar bowl is a part of the making and is confirmed as not a repair; the set is in excellent condition and has never been used.
