WWII Japanese Imperial Army Katana Daito Sword
Item Details
A World War II Japanese Imperial Army Katana Daito sword. These Shin Gunto (new military) swords were manufactured during World War II for the Japanese military. These swords were originally crafted for NCO (non-commissioned officers) in the Japanese Army. They were designed to resemble the officer’s sword but were mass produced. This is a very interesting and unique piece of Japanese and world history to obtain. The blade has a maker’s mark or serial number in two places (see photos). It includes decorative wooden sword display stand.
