Antique Wooden Trunk

Item Details

An antique wooden trunk. This trunk is constructed from elm wood with strips of metal reinforcement around the edges. It has small medal medallions that provides a decorative touch to the outside. The handles are very rare in that they are constructed of wood and are still in tact. The latch mechanism no longer works, but is used to lift the lid. The original lid stay is still operational to hold the lid in place when opened. It was painted red at one time, but most of its paint has been removed or faded. The interior is the natural raw wood of its original construction.

Condition

The paint is chipping, it is worn from normal use and there is a knot hole out on the right side of the trunk.
