Antique Victorian R. Hollings & Company Brass Piano/Floor Lamp

Item Details

An antique Victorian era brass piano/floor lamp manufactured by the R. Hollings Company (1854 – 1911) located at 545 Washington Street, Boston, Massachusetts. The oil reservoir has a fluted body with a foliate cover and burner with a fine pieced vent. An adjustable stem is clearly marked ‘R. Hollings & Company Boston’ and has a fluted and twisted body. The four legged base features an abundance of fine cast rococo ‘C’ curves and floral elements on round molded pad feet. Converted to electricity. Examples of the firm’s work can be found at the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute, Utica, New York.

Condition

Three of the four legs bent and missing globe and chimney. Unable to test due to missing knob on socket.
