A Karl Griesbaum German hand carved wooden ‘The Whistler’ automaton figurine. This is a hand carved vintage wooden mechanical figure. The piece dates circa 1930s. It features a whistling drunk mustached character in a top hat leaning against a lamp post. The figure is supposed to be wound up and whistle moving his head from side to side and whistling at the same time.

Condition

The wood carving and body of the figure is in good condition but the mechanism of the object is untested. Mechanic work is intact but not currently working, needs repair.
