Vintage Elgin Cabinet Mantel Clock
Item Details
A handsome cabinet mantel clock with pendulum and quartz movements by Elgin. The clock is made of medium wood and features a squared paper face with Roman numerals and ornate black metal arms. The face is marked ‘Made in USA’ and ‘2088523’. The body of the clock is rectangular on a pedestal base made of oak. The face is made of paper adhered to the wood body. The clock has a hinged cabinet face with two windows, the top made of clear glass exposing the clock face and the bottom made of clear glass with painted geometric detailing showing the pendulum. The cabinet door opens with a brass pull. The clock is battery powered.
Condition
The clock is in working condition. There is minor scuffing and wear to the wood surface. The metal parts need to be polished. The paint on the lower glass window is slightly abraded. There is minor discoloration to the paper face.
