German Black Forest Hunters Cuckoo Clock

A handsome and authentic German Black Forest hunters cuckoo clock. This cuckoo clock is made from wood and wood inlay and features a deep rich walnut finish, with beautifully detailed carvings. Centered on top of the roof is a carved buck pediment with antlers. The clock dial is framed by a quail on the left side and a hare on the right, a gun, ammunition pouch and traditional hunting horn below, with carved foliage accents throughout. This clock features a blue bird that calls cuckoo, a beautiful maple leaf pendulum and large, pine cone shaped cast iron weights with the original wire hooks. Marked ‘German’ on clock face. Six day movement clock.

Unable to test. Section of leaves on upper left has been glued; repairs have been made, as visible in photos.
