Set of Limited Edtion Russell May Signed Prints
Item Details
A trio of limited edition, signed and framed Russell May reproduction prints. May (1921-1990) was a Kentucky-based landscape artist known for country style buildings in browns, greens, and reds. The print featuring the Mail Pouch Tobacco Barn from 1975 is numbered 275/500 with printed signature to the lower right. The print featuring the old mill from 1977 is numbered 153/250. Signed by May in the center, under ‘To a splish-splash friend, Steve Wardy’ inscription, printed signature to lower right. The third print, Grandfather’s Store, features a post office with Coca-Cola advertisement from 1977 is numbered 463/2500, signed by May to the left side ‘With a nickels worth of love and friendship,’ printed signature to the lower right. Two pieces framed in identical wood frames and cream matting, the Mail Pouch print has gold tone frame with burnt orange matting. Ready to hang.
Condition
- good, print of the old mill has scratches on frame, all three have tears to the verso.
