An original gestural oil on masonite panel still life, a fantastically expressive piece, depicting red poppies in bloom, with larkspur and button daisies, in a scenically decorated vase. Marked ‘A. Specht’ on the verso, unsigned, and aptly titled ‘Poppies,’ housed in a wooden molding frame with a gilt finish and light texture, with a maroon cloth inset.
Condition
Minor wear to the frame, the painting would benefit from cleaning.
