Set of Caroline Williams Cincinnati Prints
Item Details
A selection of offset lithographic prints by beloved Cincinnati-based artist Caroline Williams (1945 – 1988). Williams worked as a sketch artist at the Cincinnati Enquirer from 1932 until her death in 1988, at the age of 80. Williams lived in Burlington, Kentucky, a community very close to Cincinnati, where she owned Penandhoe Press. The prints depict iconic Cincinnati landmarks: Riverfront Stadium (now demolished,) the Elk Lick House at Sharon Woods Village, and the Irwin M. Krohn Conservatory. The Stadium print is presented under glass and ready to hang in a silver-toned metal frame with an ivory and black double mat, while the remaining two are unframed, awaiting your choice of presentation. Each print is signed in-plate to the lower right. The Elk Lick House and Krohn Conservatory prints come with a statement card describing the history of each place, presented by Cincinnati-based Fifth Third Bank.
