A certified sandstone reproduction of the sculpture ‘Summer’ by Sylvia Shaw Judson (1897-1978, American). This sculpture is part of the ‘Four Seasons’ collection and depicts a small girl with flowers. The sculpture can be placed indoors or outdoors. Judson was born in Lake Forest, Illinois in 1897, and studed sculpture in Paris at the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere. Judson went to on teach sculpture at the American University in Cairo, and had her work on display at many museums such as the Whitney, and the Art Institute of Chicago. Judson’s most well-known sculpture is ‘Bird Girl,’ which was featured on the cover of the book Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.
