A collection of C.G. Morehead lithographs. C.G. Morehead is a Kentucky artist from the Owensboro area. He had his ‘Cathedral Of The Assumption’ painting hung in Kentucky State Capitol Rotunda before it went on a tour of colleges and art guilds. The collection includes the following lithographs. ‘Audobon House’ is marked plate No. XI ‘Cathedral Of The Assumption’ is marked plate No.VI. The ‘Cathedral Of The Assumption’ is one of the 1500 limited to that plate number. ‘Grand Ole Opry’ is marked plate No.XVI. ‘No.10 Downing Street, London’ is marked plate No.XIX. ‘UK Administration Building’ is marked plate No.XX. ‘Old Southern Bank’ is marked plate No.IX There is a large certificate of authenticity that accompanies this lithograph. ‘Old Mulkey Meeting House’ is marked plate No.XV. ‘Oakhurst’ is marked plate No.XIV. All the lithographs are signed by C.G. Morehead. Also included is a description of the Audobon House lithograph, a description of the UK administration building, and a description for the Old Southern Bank lithograph and a letter from Morehead Prints explaining what the plate number’s mean. Easel not included.
