Item Details
A wonderful hand decorated art pottery tile by well known Spanish innovator Daniel Zuloaga (1852-1921). This earthenware tile depicts a padre humbly traveling by donkey in the bright Spanish sun, with lovely traditional architecture in the background. Primary colors are the pale blue of the sky, and the brown of the donkey and rooftops, with the traveler dressed in black. Incised artist signature to back.
Condition
Considerable crazing to glaze, which is not unexpected for a tile this age.

6.0" W x 8.5" H x 0.33" D
Size of tile. Simple black wooden frame is included.
