Alice Balterman Decoupage Trash Receptacle with Birds

A beautiful Alice Balterman decoupage trash receptacle. This piece is decorated with a collage of parrots ranging in an assortment of colors set on a painted black wood background with scalloped edge to the top. Receptacle is signed ‘Alice Balterman’ to verso. Balterman was a Cincinnati artist known for her decoupage and collage artworks. Some of her pieces were selected for settings in the movie ‘Little Man Tate’ with Jodie Foster.

Condition

Light wear consistent with age and use including small chips to paint primarily to the interior and minor wear and scuffs to base. The artist’s signature is slightly worn.
