A complete vintage 1983 Fontanini 5’ nativity set with wood Creche. Fontanini by Roman is know for the intricate hard molded figures that are child friendly. They are superbly crafted and hand painted in Italy. This has a total of 31 character pieces. Included are Joseph, Mary and baby Jesus in a crib, both standing angel and hanging angel, three wise men, two standing camels and a sitting camel, donkey, lying cow, two sheep, lamb and goat. Also girl with goat in backpack, girl carrying water vessel, farmer with eggs in hat, girl with duck and eggs in basket, boy flute player, boy with lamp on shoulders, shepherd, man playing bagpipe, boy carrying lamp looking afar, sleeping boy, old shepherd with cane, man with lantern, boy with horn. Each piece is stamped appropriately on the base and has the item numbers for the character. The wood creche is made to look very stable like and will hold the main characters.
