Item Details

An ornately carved and inlaid East Asian folding screen. With hardstone figuration of perched roosters on wooden, blossoming branches. Long incised bone tails and iridescent abalone feathers adorn the roosters. With hand carved, openwork bird details to the screen and floral and foliate carving along the edges. Roosters mounted on black lacquer backgrounds framed by red faux cinnabar with hand painted floral detailing.

Condition

Consistent with age and use. Some light scratches to feet.
