Trio of Mickey Mouse Watches and Original Red Watch Box
Item Details
A group of three watches featuring depictions of Mickey Mouse, and an original red hinged-lid box which once contained a Bradley Time 6800 red wristwatch. The watches include a wristwatch made by Bradley Time, a division of Elgin Company. This is an operational 17 jewel wind-up watch with an oval face, base metal bezel with stainless steel back, and flexible steel wristband; the character Mickey Mouse is to the face, facing left, and his arms tell the time. Bradley only made Disney Character watches between 1972 and 1985. Another is a Lorus quartz round-faced watch with Japan movement and a red leather band; the third is a square-faced watch with a black vertical stripe down the center of the face behind a black and white Mickey Mouse, with only ‘9’ and ‘3’ as hour markers. The winding crown has a red letter ‘M’ and is engraved to the back with the Disney logo, and by ‘SII Marketing International / MU 1104 / Battery SR626SW / JAPAN MOVEMENT / © NF DISNEY / STAINLESS STEEL CASEBACK’. It has a black and ivory tone leather wristband with white stitching, and is stamped to the back, ‘Original Mickey, Est. 1928’. Please see extensive Condition notes.
Condition
- the oval face Bradley Time watch has a light scratch across the face of the lens; the SII Marketing watch does not keep time, as Mickey’s arm falls to the 6 o’clock position, and there is some cosmetic wear present; the Lorus watch is untested and requires a new battery, and there is some cosmetic wear present.
