An original oil painting on board by an artist who signs his name simply, ‘G. Roy.’ Very little is known about this artist, except that this artist has created and signed numerous highly detailed animal paintings and pastoral landscapes. This image depicts a picturesqe European farm landscape, complete with thatched roof buildings and chickens and one turkey pecking in the foreground. Artist signature signed in paint to lower right corner. Mounted inside an ornate beveled wood frame with gesso cast applique and gold-toned finish.

Condition

- applique on frame is cracked in numerous areas around edges. Accretion on painting surface.
