Wooden Balinese Hinged Jaw Demon Mask
Item Details
A wooden Balinese demon mask. Likely a depiction of Barong, king of the spirits in Bali mythology. Wide bulging eyes and big teeth are quite menacing in this mask. The jaw is hinged with small leather straps and articulates up and down.
Condition
Has a missing tooth and eyebrow. Mask is glued together in a few areas.
