A photo offset lithography reproduction of an original painting by fabled Cincinnati artist Robert Fabe (1917-2004). This reproduction of an original watercolor painting is the sort that typifies Fabe’s marvelous oeuvre, and features one of Fabe’s favorite subjects. Small wooden boats drift on the tide before a triplet of buildings raised on stilts in the water. The brushwork is loose and freely so. The clouds are full of subtle gloom, and Fabe’s poetic sensibility hits the viewer like summer’s wall of humidity. This print is immaculately presented in a wooden frame with black paint and a single creme colored mat to edge.

Condition

Fair-Good, scratching and minor paint loss to frame, mild separation to the top right hand corner, print is slightly wavy in the frame.
