Mark Gergen Exterior Red Metal Sculpture Titled "Spray"
Item Details
An exterior red metal sculpture titled ‘Spray’ by Cincinnatian Mark Gergen. The piece has a great sense of movement and energy with radiating arms projecting out from a center arched fulcrum. ‘Spray’ exhibits a hard-edged intensity and sophistication of color and form. The piece is supported on a black base. Mark Gergen’s work deals with the idea of impermanence. Working with an ever changing world in which we all live acts as a canvas expressing what was, what is, and what will become. Through this transition he focuses an ability to see the deterioration and rebirth of the landscape. The driving force in his work is to offer a glimpse and a visual record, through the application of sculptural photography and mixed media, of that deterioration. He has exclusively exhibited with the varying m-galleries, m-curated events from 2003 until present day, his work has been purchased into more private collections then any other artist within the galleries history.
