Jackson-Guldan Violin with Bow and Case
Item Details
A full size Jackson-Guldan violin with bow and case. The violin was produced by the Jackson-Guldan Violin Company in Columbus, Ohio in the 1930s. The bow is an octagonal wood stick with synthetic grip and fully-lined frog, made by Anton Schroetter. The case is an olive green interior, storage pocket, and a black exterior with leather handle.
Condition
- fair, the sound post of the violin is in the pocket of the case. Violin is lacking a chin rest. Open seams throughout. New strings are suggested. Bow will need a re-hair and a new tip, with some work to the frog. Case is chipped and fragile. All these repairs are consistent with age and use of a wooden instrument.
