Vintage Blatz Beer Crate with Lid

A vintage Blatz Beer wooden crate. The original Blatz beer was produced in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, between 1851-1959. This wooden crate was designed to transport and store bottles. The Blatz logo is present on both the inside and outside and ‘Milwaukee, Wis.’ is legible on the exterior. The lid retains old hinges and part of the latch. The crate has the sort of earthy patina earned by hard work over many years.
