A selection of collectible and decorative bird figurines. The selection includes a decorative ceramic plate issued by the National Audubon Society, featuring a transferware decoration of a detailed bird study of a Carolina Wren and a Carolina Turtle Dove. The image is a reproduction of Plate 17 of the ‘Elephant Folio Edition of Audubon’s Birds of America.’ Marked to base and produced by Alfred Meakin of England. ALso included is a numbered first issue edition of the Bradford Exchange collectible figurine, Wake Up Call from their Backyard Buddies series. The figurine features an orange tabby cat napping on the top of a birdhouse in a tree, surrounded by excited birds; a Cardinal, Blue Jay, bluebird and finches. It is marked and numbered to the base, ’ A6661.’ Included in the collection is a hand painted porcelain wren, a ceramic duck with a yellow hat and brown boots, a hand painted porcelain parakeet, and a figurine of a hummingbird with a daylily. Also included is a a small vintage, lidded trinket box in the shape of a butterfly, in pale blue porcelain.
