Maurice Berezov was an abstract expressionist painter born in Paris in 1902. He studied art the the National Academy of Fine Arts, the Arts Students’ League of New York, and the Hans Hoffman School, and was part of the acclaimed American Abstract Artist group alongside artists such as Louise Bourgeois and Piet Mondrian. He was married to renowned abstract expressionist painter Perle Fine and was featured in prominent New York galleries and museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Riverside Museum, New York University, and the Betty Parsons Gallery. Berezov died in 1988.
