Vintage Pie Safe
Item Details
A vintage pie safe with elaborately pierced with pierced tin panels on the doors and sides. The doors conceal three wooden shelves.There is a metal plate on the side that reads, ‘Allegretti Iceberg, the Antiseptic Refrigerator’.
Condition
Door escutcheon broken in half (half missing), no key, some scratches. Door stay closed by turning a non-original piece of wood.
tin plaque on side: “Allegretti Iceberg, The anti-septic refrigertor, pat. July 26, 1870, re-isssued October 8, 1872, The Allegretti refrigerator Co, NY”.
