1970's Zuni Sterling Silver Ring By Dickie & Amy Quandelacy

Item Details

A fabulous vintage Zuni sterling silver and red coral double hummingbird ring by well known Zuni jewelry artists Dickie & Amy Quandelacy. Dickie Quandelacy and former wife Amy began working together creating their jewelry designs in the 1970’s. Dickie learned the craft from his mother Ellen Quandelacy, a well respected Zuni jewelry artist. The Quandelacy family is known for their use of an abstract double humming bird design in their pieces. Dickie and Amy’s pieces appear in museum collections such as the collection housed at The Kennedy Museum Of Art. Our ring features the Quandelacy’s signature double hummingbird design with raised coral channel inlay. This stunning piece commands attention, measuring a bit over 2’ from end to end. The ring is a size 7. Dickie and Amy divorced in 1984, and while each continue to make jewelry separately, they no longer work together, making this ring a very collectible piece from the the era when they collaborated on their designs. The ring is signed to the underside with their hallmark ‘D & A Q’. 0.37 ozt with stones.
