A group of vintage New Martinsville art deco glass pieces. The satin finish green glass items are in the ‘#33 Modernistic’ pattern and they include a large triangular bowl on a stepped triangular base and three similarly shaped candle holders. The New Martinsville Glass Company was founded in 1901 in West Virginia. These pieces display many of the design themes which characterized the art deco movement. Geometric shapes, streamlined forms, and smooth lines were considered to be the epitome of modern design during the movement’s heyday.
