Eastlake Marble Topped Oval Table

A Victorian Eastlake marble top table with a dark walnut base, circa mid-1830s. The lovely oval-topped side table features a white marble top, rounded edge, a molded apron having applied carved and applied brackets and is incised with a simple carved line motif around the outside. The table has a lathe-turned pedestal with four carved support legs adjoining. The legs are ribbed along the outer profiles from top to bottom, with applied medallions and additional lightly carved details alongside the leg, culminating in a whorl design above original caster feet.
