Paolo Maggini 4/4 Violin and Case
Item Details
An antique violin from early 20th century copied from famous Italian luthier Giovanni Paolo Maggini. Comes fully set up with bridge, Red Label steel strings, chin rest, and case. Case contains two bow spinners and option for shoulder strap. Display condition only, as-is. Can be made playable but will need work. See condition notes. Per consignor, he has owned the violin for the past sixty-eight years.
Condition
- fair, needs moderate work done for playability. Will need larger set of pegs, open seams glued, and glue to prevent further perfling damage on back of the lower left bout. All work is consistent with age and use and is considered regular maintenance of older wooden instruments.
Dimensions
Measurements taken of case. Violin body measures fourteen inches in length and twenty-three inches in total length.
