A Wasmuth Goodrich Furniture Company secretary. Constructed of deeply finished mixed hardwood, this beautiful Chippendale style piece features a swan neck pediment with center finial and two glass paneled locking doors that open to three shelves. The desk portion opens to reveal eight correspondence dividers and two small drawers. Below are three swan shaped drawers with brass pulls. The secretary desk rests upon front ball and claw feet. Wasmuth Goodrich Company, Peru, Indiana, maker’s mark present to the interior of one drawer.

Condition

Interior joints of drawers are glued. Some spotting to desk slant top surface and desk interior. Missing key for desk lock. Handle is missing on the lowest drawer.
