An original 1937 watercolor painting by listed American artist Dorothy Dumesnie Compton (1917-), titled Lazy Bones. The expressive piece depicts two men sitting on a curb. The piece appears unfinished because some faint lettering in pencil is visible in the background. It is signed, dated, and titled in the lower margin. An exhibition label from Southern States Art League, Museum of Fine Arts, Montgomery Alabama that is signed ‘Dorothy Compton Stephenson’ is attached to the verso, along with a hanging wire.
