An RCA Victor shortwave radio Model 7T, circa 1936, also referred to as the RCA Manufacturing || Victor Talking Machine. This is a tabletop (or ‘tombstone’) model radio with a Electro Magnetic Dynamic LS (moving-coil with field excitation coil) loudspeaker. It is a seven-tube, three-band radio covering broadcast, short wave(s) and police bands. It has a Bakelite tuning knob and metal escutcheon. The cabinet is constructed of mixed woods and veneers, with a decorative cut-out for the fabric-covered loudspeaker cone, with three bakelite tuning knobs to the lower section below the tuning dial. It is marked ‘RCA Victor’ on the lower front of the cabinet. The back of the cabinet is open, and is tagged with model tuning information and instructions, and has a ‘Location of Radiotrons’ tube diagram.
