Edie Harper "Noazark" Signed L/E Serigraph

A hand-signed limited edition 1975 serigraph titled Noazark by well-listed artist Edie Harper. Edie, wife to Charley Harper and an influential artist in her own right, produces abstracted graphic prints in a style similar to that of her husband. This print is based on the biblical story of Noah’s Ark, and depicts several animals peeking out of windows onboard the massive boat described in the stories. Fish swim in the water below the boat, and birds soar above. A figure, presumably Noah himself, gazes out on the water from the far right porthole. This print features a simple, muted color palette of blue-gray, beige, black, and white. The print is pencil-signed in the lower right margin, and is titled and numbered 45/250 in the lower left margin. A small line of printed text in the lower left corner of the margin reads: ‘COPR Edie Harper 1975.’ The print is a presented in a simple metal glass-plated frame. The verso of the piece is again signed by the artist, and is printed with a row of burnt orange and black stylized faces.

Condition

-hardly noticeable surface wear on the glass and frame.
