A pair of Peter Rabbit porcelain music boxes and a Peter Rabbit porcelain plate, based on the characters created by Beatrix Potter, made by Schmid. The first music box, titled ‘Old Mr. Benjamin Bunny & Peter Rabbit, is based off of Potter’s The Tale of Mr. Benjamin Bunny and depicts Benjamin Bunny’s father punishing Peter Rabbit for wandering into Mr. McGregor’s garden. This box plays ‘As Time Goes By’ when wound. The second music box, titled ‘Mrs. Rabbit,’ shows Mrs. Rabbit and two baby bunnies. It plays the song ’Brahm’s Lullaby’ when wound. Also included is a small porcelain plate depicting Peter Rabbit and a Robin. The base reads, ‘The New England Collectors Society’s First Beatrix Potter Porcelain Plate Collection’ and gives the title as ‘Peter Rabbit,’ and the copyright, ‘F. Warne & Co., 1984.’
