Item Details

A set of four watercolor prints of scenes of the City of New York after work by French artist Jean-Marie Gallais. Each is framed under glass in a wood composite frame. The artist has signed J.M Gallais, to the lower right corner; they are dated 1964. One is titled Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridge, and shows a lovely, colorful skyline of the city from that vantage point. Another is titled Art Show in Washington Square and has images of crowds and trees in the park. Another has an iconic scene of Skating in Central Park, with skaters on the ice, enjoying skating on a sunny, wintry day with the skyline in the background. A fourth painting shows The Public Library at Fifth Avenue, with the iconic and famous building in all its glory with pedestrians enjoying the steps.
