Menzo Van Esveldt Steamboat Prints
Item Details
Two offset lithograph prints after Menzo Van Esveldt (1896 – 1985) etchings titled, Famous Race between Robert E. Lee and Natchez, and The Steamer J.M. White. Both prints depict black and white renditions of the classic midwest riverboats from the days old. Artist signatures to plate on bottom right corners, titles to plate on bottom left. Set behind cream colored mats behind glass and presented in simple wooden frames with black finish. Frames are equipped with hardware for connecting to each other when hung. Affixed to the verso of Famous Race is a passage of supplemental historical information.
Condition
- condition of prints is good. There is damage along the edges and corners of finish of frames.
