Full Size Cherry Pencil Post Bed
Item Details
A cherry pencil post canopy bed from Cassidy Furniture Company, Inc., Bowling Green, Kentucky. This bed is full size and constructed in solid cherry. It has a beautifully designed headboard and features finials atop each post that attaches the canopy to the posts. The knobs atop the foot board give the appearance of an old rope bed, but they are for decorative purposes only. Cassidy furniture was produced in the 1950s and 1960s in Bowling Green, Kentucky and is no longer in business. Mattress and box springs can be taken or left at sale site.
Condition
One side piece of canopy rail is chipped where it joins the bed post.
