Original Abstract Mixed Media Painting by Luminous Lish

An orignal Abstract Expressionist style mixed media and acrylic painting by Cincinnati artist Luminous Lish, also known as Alicia Emley. The painting is organic in feel with layers of paint and polyurethane generously applied to the acrylic board to create texture. The strong palette includes a myriad of colors with the predominant hues being aqua, teal and gold. The piece is signed in the lower right corner and has been purposefully left unframed.

Paintings by Lish are many times done on recycled building materials. They are energized by sunlight so that they will actually glow when the lights are dimmed to create a new visual experience. Lish received her BFA from the Art Academy of Cincinnati in 1993 and exhibits not only in Cincinnati but also most recently in Soho.
