Bernard Buffet Tower Bridge Print 1960 Framed

A framed print of a Bernard Buffet (1928-1999, French painter) work. Bernard Buffet was heavily influenced by the 1940s movement of ‘Miserabilisme’ and used the sharp lines and very dark colors. This print has a typed label on the back with specific information and it states ‘Tower Bridge, London, Bernard Buffet (Contemporary French) oil on canvas 51’x 32’ 1960. Copyright New York Graphic Society. Printed in Switzerland and purchased in July, 1962 at The Mermaid Gallery, Hamilton Bermuda’ in regards to the original work. The print is presented framed in black and gold and also has some issues with light chips, scratches and paint loss.
Condition
The paper on the back is tearing, there is soiling to the background mat it is attached to, and the mat is starting to detach from the frame. Both the print and mat have creases in some areas.
