A Colt Model 1861 Navy revolver. It is a six-shooter, firing .36 cap-and-ball ammo using a percussion cap mechanism. It has a 7.5’ barrel, brass trigger guard, and walnut grip. This model of revolver saw use in both the American Civil War and the western frontier.
Condition
- it is not in firing condition, having a crack to the cylinder, and a hammer which does not strike when the trigger is pulled. It has normal cosmetic damage due to age, including discoloration to the metal, as well as numerous scratches/small gouges to the cylinder.
