Antique JTL Medio Fino Violin

An antique JTL Medio Fino violin. This turn-of-the-century piece was constructed in France by the firm of Jerome Thibouville-Lamy. Marked with the trademark ‘JTL’ and a sunburst harp, as well as ‘Medio Fino’ to the interior. Decorative floral details can be found to the instrument’s back. Housing this stunning piece is its original black wooden case with red felt lining. Interior place card is marked ‘GAND Freres Luthiers de la Musique de l’Empereur et du Conservatoire Imperial de Champs N.20 PARIS’.
Condition
Case is worn with chips and nicks in wood in addition to wear in painted finish. Violin is in good condition with some of the decorative detail to front fading. Maker’s mark is inside violin. Bow is not original to instrument.
