Camel Back Steamer Trunk

Item Details

A beautiful late 19th century camelback steamer trunk. The trunk exterior features an embossed metal finish with wood straps and black metal buckles. The corners are protected by sheet metal and decorative metal adornments. The trunk has interior storage spaces in the form of a divided tray at lid and a deep bottom trunk space. The lower storage space is lined with a geometric print paper. The tray and lid have a central lithograph print portrait and bands of red and blue paper. A charming representation of turn of the century travel necessities.
