A small hardcover volume by Prussian-American Revolutionary War officer Baron Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben, titled Regulations for the Order and Discipline of the Troops of the United States, published 1794. Printed with a letterpress on laid paper. Baron von Steuben helped to train the Continental Army at Valley Forge, and wrote this manual as a standardized guide to training and military discipline. It was used up to the War of 1812 as an essential reference of military standards. A fascinating read for anyone interested in Revolutionary and early federal military history.
