Vintage Argus Arai Bamboo Fishing Rod
Item Details
A vintage Argus Arai bamboo fishing rod assembly. In occupied Japan after 1945, these rods were mass produced. Popular with GI’s stationed there after WW2, they were purchased as keepsakes and to ship home to family. Made of bamboo, the rod has a sturdy ribbed resin handle, comes in a heavy canvas case.
Condition
One cane broken, the rod might need reconditioning. In original case.
