Antique Pickard Vase

A turn of the century porcelain vase from the Pickard China Company. The company was founded in Wisconsin and moved to Chicago, Illinois, where the it specialized in hand-painted art pieces, dessert sets, and tea sets. American and European artists created one of a kind designs for the ceramic pieces. This vase features rich roses and foliage and has been embellished with gold. There is a signature, ‘A. Motzfeldt’, on the exterior of the vase and a studio mark which dates its manufacture to 1898-1903.
