Hand Painted Italian Pottery Tureen and Under Plate

A vintage hand painted Italian pottery lidded soup tureen and under plate. This lovely tureen with a fruit motif features a scalloped lid with a melon finial, footed dish with ribbed bowl and double acanthus leaf handles. Both pieces are hand painted with apples, pears, figs and cherries in red, green and golden brown tones. Stamped in the clay made in Italy on bottom.

Condition

Wear consistent with age. Under a quick inspection only one larger chip was found on the rim of the inside of the lid.
